PURPOSE:

Design, develop and facilitate Talent Development initiatives to fulfill MATAR development requirements aligned with MATAR core and leadership competencies. Ensure that those initiatives are compliant with the relevant International and National standards and MATAR strategic objectives set for maintaining an operationally effective airport. Responsibility includes the development and delivery of training programs to enhance the upskilling of MATAR employees, as well as collaboration with QRNTD on the technical and professional development of Qatari Nationals

Strategic




Support MATAR Organisational Development Strategy by implementing tailored programmes aligned with MATAR strategic objectives Collaborate with the QR National Talent Development team to support Qatar's 2030 objectives in human development by creating specific development programs for Qatari Nationals employees. Manage the development of departmental trainers as per the required MATAR Training Standards through the delivery of Train-The-Trainer programmes.

Design, implement and actively promote appropriate engagement programmes and initiatives in order to enhance the level of employee engagement at the workplace. Developing training processes, templates and procedures that serve as guidance for various learning interventions to ensure consistency and quality of training implementation is maintained across the organization. Work with the senior management to identify the development requirements for all departments at MATAR, conduct Training Needs Analysis and develop bespoke programmes to comply with national and international airport operational requirements as well as to meet the professional developmental requirements of the employees. Manage contracts and the technical evaluations of external training providers to ensure the learning initiatives delivered meet the stakeholders' requirements. Manage the design and roll out of internal training programmes to ensure that they are relevant to MATAR operational model and are based on best practice learning and development methodology. Manage day-to day delivery of portfolio of learning products to agreed quality, performance standards and within a specified budget. Facilitate events, workshops, and training programmes using adult-learning techniques and a blended approach (i.e.: virtual/digital and face to face) to ensure professional, high standard and value-added customised delivery across MATAR. Evaluate training programmes to ensure their effectiveness and continue to improve the learning methodology. Advertise the courses offered by MATAR training units and QRTD to ensure the visibility and awareness of all training programmes available across the Group. Collaborate with HRBS and Recruitment teams in identifying areas where to improve process/procedural related to the New Hire Induction programme. Ensure records of all training delivered are updated and available for reporting to management. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Establish the department or teams' objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives. Regularly evaluate the department or teams' objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and make appropriate changes if needed. Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery. Use coaching and mentoring techniques in order to improve employee performance based on agreed action plans. Train and develop other employees to ensure succession planning is in place.

Experience:




Preferred


Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience CIPD level 3 or equivalent. Certification in Training Design/ Training Delivery/Train-the-Trainer/or similar. Coaching qualification (ICF or equivalent) 2-3 years training management in the aviation industry.
