Master Cutter / Pattern Making Master - Men's Custom Tailor Shop

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Cutter / Pattern Making Master, professional in shirts, trousers & suits for men, to join our Men's custom tailor shop. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of garment construction, exceptional precision in pattern making, and the ability to work with a variety of fabrics. As a Pattern Making Master, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the perfect fit and design of our bespoke garments.

Key Responsibilities:

Pattern Creation:

Develop and create master patterns based on design sketches and client measurements.

Pattern Adjustments:

Modify and adjust patterns to ensure the best fit and style, taking into account client feedback and fitting sessions.

Collaboration:

Work closely with designers, tailors, and cutting masters to ensure seamless production and accurate realization of designs.

Quality Control:

Inspect patterns and final garments for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet the highest standards.

Grading:

Grade patterns to create a range of sizes while maintaining the correct proportions and fit.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed records of all patterns created and any modifications made.

Innovation:

Stay updated on the latest pattern making techniques, tools, and fashion trends to continuously improve the quality of our garments.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Pattern Making Master or similar role in a custom tailoring environment. Expertise in both manual and computer-aided pattern making (CAD) systems. Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and sewing techniques. Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements. Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Basic math skills for measurements and pattern adjustments. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays if needed.
