Job Description
Tailor \xe2\x80\x93 Luxury Abaya AND Dresses MM Clothing is one of the most popular and modest Abaya fashion in Dubai. They are known worldwide and offer their luxury brand throughout GCC and the rest of the world. We are looking out for an experienced Tailor \xe2\x80\x93 Luxury Abaya AND Dresses who can do stitching of abayas, dresses and other female outfits. The Role:
- Studies samples thoroughly to determine the correct operations and the correct materials to use, including the correct setting of the machine.
- Prepares garment parts for cutting and sewing and checks the quality of parts to be sewn and reports effect damages.
- Threads machine and checks the tension of stitching and makes needed adjustments.
- Cut and Sews fabric parts in accordance with established quality standards.
- Re-bundles finished work for pick-up by the mover and make sure that all pieces are accounted for;
- Reports any malfunction or machine trouble that will effect quality and efficiency to the Manager as soon as it is noticed and encountered;
- Switches off machines when not in use and covers machine at the end of the working day;
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
- Measures customers.
- Cuts patterns and fabrics
- Tries garment when prepared, on customer and marks with chalk any alterations to be made
- Supervises making and finishing work and finally fits garment on customer
- Strong knowledge of cutting and stitching all types of fabrics
- Strong knowledge of pattern making and cutting
- Able to cut fabrics as per the pattern and measurements
- Can perform alterations/modifications when required
- Attention to detail, in order to avoid any mistake
- Design, pattern draft and tailor fabric together
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
