About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Tailor to join our Housekeeping team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Supporting to set up the function and role during Pre-Opening phase
Working closely between the Hotel and our Residences to support any operational needs as per the job description
To ensure that all requests for alterations or repair made by the guests are carried out efficiently
To ensure that all uniforms are kept in good repair to the best of her/his ability and with the equipment available
To ensure that any repairs required to table linen, toweling, bath robes and sheeting is carried out efficiently to prolong their live
To familiarize with the procedures for exchange of linen and uniforms
To ensure wherever possible that maximum usage is made of discarded linen
To maintain all storage areas are kept clean, neat and tidy at all times
To maintain a stock of haberdashery items and inform the Laundry Team Leader when items need to be replenish
To assist linen inventories
To help with the counting of dirty table linen from the F&B areas and distribute out the clean linen
To deliver requests to both colleagues and guests in an efficient and courteous manner
To help whenever necessary the counting of the clean room linen and toweling and recording the amounts correctly
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Ideally Pre-Opening experience, experience on setting up any related systems or structures in the role | department
Able to work with tight deadlines and under pressure due to intensive preopening phase
Must be adaptable and flexible to work weekends, days, evenings, and holidays and ensure time management skills are applied
Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up and be results focused
Attention to details and curates superior guest experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and by telephone, embracing cultural diversity
Minimum of 1 year luxury hospitality experience
Previous experience in Uniform Room
Business proficiency in English
