to support our hospitality operations by handling all stitching, repair, and customization needs for fabric-based items. This includes uniforms, curtains, linens, cushion covers, pool beds, and other textile materials used across the property. The ideal candidate will have strong tailoring skills, knowledge of different fabrics, and the ability to deliver high-quality work in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Stitch, alter, and repair
uniforms, curtains, bed linens, cushion covers, pool beds, tablecloths
, and other fabric items as required.
Take accurate measurements and follow specifications to ensure a proper fit and finish.
Perform custom tailoring and alterations for staff uniforms or special fabric requirements.
Maintain and operate sewing machines, overlock machines, and other tailoring tools safely and effectively.
Inspect items before and after stitching for quality assurance and ensure all work meets hospitality standards.
Coordinate with the
Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Operations teams
to manage stitching requests and meet deadlines.
Maintain an organized work area and inventory of materials, threads, zippers, buttons, etc.
Recommend improvements or cost-effective solutions for fabric-related issues.
Keep track of all tailoring jobs and ensure timely completion.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a
tailor
, preferably in the
hospitality or service industry
.
Skilled in using industrial sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
Strong knowledge of different fabrics and their handling.
Ability to interpret designs, patterns, and instructions accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and finishing.
Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
