Job Summary

We seek a skilled tailor to join our team in Dubai. You will measure, fit, alter, repair, and construct garments with precision and attention to detail. Excellent customer service and the ability to work with various fabrics and styles are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand their needs for alterations, repairs, or custom garments Take accurate body measurements and record client requirements clearly Alter garments by tapering seams, adjusting hem lengths, resizing, or replacing buttons and zippers Repair damaged clothing by patching tears, mending seams, or replacing garment components Construct custom garments such as suits, jackets, or uniforms according to client specifications Conduct fit sessions and make necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and a proper fit Steam and press garments after alterations for a professional finish Maintain an organized workspace and ensure tools and equipment are in good condition Label and tag garments accurately to track alteration details and prevent mix-ups

Qualifications and Skills

Required

Demonstrated experience working as a tailor or seamstress with a background in garment alterations, repairs, and custom construction Proficiency in using sewing machines and performing hand-stitch techniques Strong knowledge of various fabric types and garment construction methods Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with measurements Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Preferred

Any vocational training or certification in tailoring, pattern-making, or dressmaking is a plus but not required
