Role Summary
The Tailor is responsible for all hotel tailoring functions, including uniform alterations, guest garment repairs, and linen mending, while supporting the Laundry and Linen Room Supervisor to maintain service quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

• Mend and alter staff uniforms, room linen, food and beverage linen, and guest laundry items
• Carry out guest garment repairs on request and ensure timely return of items
• Maintain consistent work quality in line with hotel standards
• Ensure adequate stock levels of tailoring materials and supplies
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and well maintained
• Ensure proper cleanliness, care, and maintenance of sewing machines
• Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Support the linen room by issuing uniforms to staff based on HR requests
• File uniform request forms accurately according to department records
• Attend to simple guest laundry mending immediately, including buttons and seams

Ideal Profile

• Relevant tailoring certificates or recommendation letters demonstrating craft skills
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar tailoring role, preferably within a five-star hotel
• Strong knowledge of hotel tailoring operations and garment care
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality
• Team-oriented approach with attention to detail
