Duties

Measure customers accurately to determine tailoring needs and ensure a perfect fit. Use sewing machines and hand sewing techniques to alter or construct garments according to specifications. Repair or modify clothing items, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and replacing zippers or buttons. Consult with customers to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on garment adjustments. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure all sewing tools and equipment are in optimal condition. Follow safety procedures when operating sewing machines and other equipment. Manage multiple tailoring projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.

Experience

Prior experience in fashion retail or tailoring is preferred.we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! Proficiency with sewing machines and garment construction techniques is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Knowledge of sewing, garment fitting, and basic math for measurements and adjustments. Familiarity with sewing machine maintenance and safety standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a lively retail environment.
