JOB DESCRIPTION
Functions as the Aviation Flight Operations subject matter expert in management specific to US Army aviation platforms in both a training and operational environment.
Duties/responsibilities:

• Responsible for execution of airfield flight operations tasks and execution of all functions, activities, and flight operations procedures in support of rotary wing operations.
• Responsible for supporting the safe operation, employment, maintenance, and flight procedures of rotary wing aircraft.
• Manage the DA Form 759-series flight records for all RSLFAC CH-47F aircrew members and provide the unit commander a means to track total hours while monitoring compliance with aircrew training programs (ATPs).
• Manage flight records for RSLFAC CH-47F aircrew members and up to 100 Pinnacle contract aircrew members.
• Possess the ability to manage automated (G21) flight record systems and databases as appropriate.
• Execution of policies, procedures, and standards for airfield operations.
• Monitor and operate various communications systems used for communication with aircraft flight crews, emergency response crews, refuel, security forces, and air traffic control.
• Provide technical expertise to RSLFAC flight Operations Officer's and NCO's.
• Provide support for aircrews in the filing of flight plans, reading file, clearances, and weather support.
• Respond to and manage airfield aircraft emergency and accidents/incidents, and downed aircraft recovery missions.
• Maintains documentation of shift events, personnel administration for the flight records section.
• Provides On-The-Job training, coaching, and mentoring to USA MOS trained RSLFAC personnel in all aspects of Flight Operations.
• Other duties as assigned and or directed by Program Manager.

Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities within established guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS:Skills and Experience:

• Ten (10) years cumulative experience in Flight Operations.
• Five (5) years experience serving in a rotary wing Flight Operations position.
• Graduate of a US Military flight operations course (15 Series) or equivalent.
• Proficient in the use of AWBS software.
• Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical aircraft forms, and other flight operations-related documentation.
• Proficient in MS Office software.
• Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
• Possess a valid issued driver's license.
• Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.

Education:
High School diploma and equivalent MOS training and experience required.

PREFERENCES:

• Five (5) years experience as an aviation rotary wing Flight Operations subject matter expert.
• Associates Degree in Aviation Operations Management
• Graduate of ALC (BNCOC)
