The EADGE-T Systems Engineer performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. And performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Systems Engineering support to the customer may include evening work, weekend work and deployment of mobile systems for demonstrations.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
Basic Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Tactical Data Links, preferably: Link-16 and Link-11
  • Familiarity with secure and reliable networks and network management.
  • Experience integrating with sensors and weapons, including occasional troubleshooting and reverse engineering
  • Experience coordinating engineering teams in the design, development, and testing of complex technical solutions.
  • Experience applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development life cycle
Desired Skills:
  • System engineering skills with an emphasis on software-intensive systems and system of systems integration
  • Familiarity with Air and Missile Defense
  • Familiarity with operational and tactical Command and Control (C2), ISR, and modeling and simulation
  • Ability to act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of the operational programs
  • Familiarity with cyber security and multiple security enclaves
  • Familiarity with fixed and mobile command centers, including supporting coalition / expeditionary operations
  • Ability to direct a diverse and skilled set of engineers across various disciplines.
