The Role In this position you will create compelling applications that enable our customers to view, control and analyze their electrical infrastructure. All of this is done using the latest technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment at our forward-looking company. Specific on-the-job training will be provided.
Your Impact • Evaluate feasibility and develop approach for integrating new feature and product requests into a complex distributed system. • Collaborate with other professionals to develop high-level product specifications and system architecture with attention to system integration, security, and reliability. • Communicate system and software specifications to development team. • Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design and work with team to manage and communicate change. • Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and junior architects.
What You'll Need • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field. • Experience developing software in various software languages (C, C++, Java, JavaScript, C#, etc.) • 5+ years job experience in software or system design and architecture. • Experience with inter-process communication, networking, and common networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SOAP, REST, DNP, etc…) • Experience with MongoDB, Cassandra, Oracle, PostgreSQL or other databases.
