Job Purpose:

Defining and analyzing the information systems in the department, working on designing, testing, implementing and developing new or modified applications, working on implementing and maintaining the database design for the new systems and making modifications to ensure the achievement of the objectives of the Information Technology Department.

Job Responsibilities:

- Preparing designs plans and estimating costs of new systems in order to provide complex new business applications or to make improvements and modifications to existing applications to create projects using specific criteria in accordance with the methodology and strategy of the Information Technology Department.

- Conducting accurate studies and analyzes of the systems in the department to determine the system's operations for external use by the department's clients or internal use among employees.

- Studying opportunities that would contribute to improving the effectiveness and quality of work procedures, by conducting internal studies and studies in information systems to apply best practices.

- Contribute to managing partnerships with system development consultants, service providers, and external system and application designers to develop systems and software for joint exploitation between the various government agencies and the department.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelors/ Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related curriculum with +5 years of relevant work experience.

- Experience in: Multiple OS platforms with strong emphasis on Linux (Ubuntu), Mac OS X, and Windows systems.

- Solid fundamental understanding of Infrastructure concepts such as: compute (different OS environments, virtualization, containers), networking (TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP), and storage (object/block/file, NFS).

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

- Excellent organization and technical documentation skills.

- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes like Incident, Problem Management.

- ITIL, Prince2, SCRUM or PMP certifications will be added advantage.

- Fair Knowledge of Cloud Solutions such as Open Stack, AWS & Azure Cloud.

- Fair knowledge of Manage Engine and SolarWinds monitoring tools.

- Nationality: Arab national.
