The System Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing the organization's IT infrastructure including networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud platforms. The role involves proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and supporting business continuity while ensuring optimal system performance and high availability.
Key Responsibilities
Network Management
Manage and monitor LAN/WAN, VPN, VLAN, Routing, Switching & Firewall configurations.
Perform network performance tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Ensure network security through proper configurations, patching, and access control.
Manage wireless networks, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and internet failover.
Server Management
Install, configure, maintain Windows/Linux servers (on-prem and virtual).
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, LDAP & authentication services.
Perform regular OS patching, updates, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
Manage virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V/KVM).
Storage & Backup Management
Administer SAN/NAS storage systems and data replication.
Ensure storage optimization, monitoring, provisioning and maintenance.
Implement and manage backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, etc.).
Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies and documentation.
Cloud Management
Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, or private cloud).
Implement identity and access management (IAM) and cloud security best practices.
Manage cloud backup, storage, compute instances, and hybrid infrastructure.
Perform cost monitoring and optimization of cloud resources.
Security & Compliance
Implement best practices for infrastructure security (Firewall, WAF, IDS/IPS).
Manage endpoint security, antivirus, DLP, patch management, and vulnerability scanning.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, audit requirements, and standards (ISO, NIST, etc.).
Documentation & Support
Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
Provide L2/L3 technical support to users and IT teams.
Participate in on-call support and incident response.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field .
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, VPN.
Hands-on with Windows/Linux servers and virtualization platforms.
Experience with storage technologies (SAN/NAS), RAID, Backup tools.
Knowledge of cloud computing, VMs, containers, Kubernetes (optional bonus).
Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python preferred).
Soft Skills:
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle critical incidents.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
