Job Summary:

The Swimming Pool Tile Mason is responsible for the precise installation and repair of tiles in and around swimming pools. This includes working with ceramic, porcelain, glass, and mosaic tiles to create durable, safe, and visually appealing surfaces. The mason ensures that all work is completed to high-quality standards, in compliance with safety regulations and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Measure, cut, and lay tiles accurately on pool surfaces (walls, floors, edges). Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing as needed. Mix and apply mortar, grout, and adhesives suitable for pool environments. Align tiles precisely using levels, chalk lines, and spacers. Repair or replace broken or damaged tiles and grout. Interpret blueprints, drawings, or design plans provided by clients or architects. Ensure waterproofing and sealing is properly done to prevent leaks. Collaborate with other construction or pool professionals as necessary. Maintain tools and equipment in good condition. Comply with all safety guidelines and building codes.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a tile mason, preferably in pool construction or renovation. Ability to work with various types of tiles including mosaic, ceramic, and glass. Skilled in using tile-cutting tools and hand tools. Good understanding of adhesives, grouts, and waterproofing systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or plans. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various weather conditions. Attention to detail and precision. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
