Swimming Pool Technician
Job Summary:
The Swimming Pool Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance, cleaning, and chemical balancing of swimming pools and surrounding areas. This role ensures a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test and adjust pool water chemistry (pH, chlorine, alkalinity) to maintain safe and balanced levels.
- Vacuum the pool, brush walls and tiles, and skim the surface to remove debris.
- Empty and clean skimmer and pump baskets.
- Inspect, maintain, and perform basic repairs on pool equipment, including pumps, filters, and heaters.
- Monitor and maintain proper water levels.
- Ensure the pool area is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of chemical tests, maintenance, and repairs.
- Identify and report any major equipment failures or safety hazards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Pool Technician or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of water chemistry, pool maintenance techniques, and pool equipment.
- Certification in CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Ability to work independently and manage a routine schedule.
- Good physical condition and ability to work outdoors.
