Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and disciplined

Sweet & Bakery Cook

to lead the preparation of traditional South Asian sweets and baked items. This role demands precision, consistency, and a deep understanding of regional flavors, with a commitment to hygiene and presentation that reflects LalQila's premium standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare a wide range of South Asian sweets (e.g., gulab jamun, jalebi, barfi, laddoo, rasmalai) and bakery items (e.g., cakes, biscuits, pastries) Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to maintain quality and consistency Manage daily production schedules and prep lists for buffet and takeaway counters Monitor ingredient freshness, stock levels, and kitchen hygiene Collaborate with chefs and service staff to ensure timely delivery during buffet hours Assist in developing seasonal and festive sweet offerings Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety and hygiene regulations Support packaging and display setup for takeaway and bulk orders

Requirements

Male candidate with relevant culinary experience (minimum 2 years preferred) Proven expertise in South Asian sweet-making and bakery production Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and food safety protocols Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume buffet environment Fluent in Hindi and Urdu; basic English preferred for team coordination Legal eligibility to work in the UAE (valid visa or sponsor-ready) Physically fit and able to handle long kitchen shifts Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and festive seasons
