We are looking for an experienced SVP - Information Security (UAE National) to lead the cybersecurity strategy, ensuring robust governance, risk management, and compliance across a prestigious semi-government entity in Abu Dhabi
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy to protect digital assets and business operations
- Establish governance frameworks to manage security risks, regulatory compliance, and internal security policies
- Oversee security architecture, ensuring systems and solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with industry best practices
- Manage incident response and mitigation strategies to minimize security breaches and disruptions
- Evaluate and oversee outsourced security services, ensuring adherence to service level agreements
- Drive awareness and engagement across teams, ensuring cybersecurity initiatives align with business needs
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks to maintain regulatory adherence
- Lead and mentor the security team, fostering a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including governance, risk management, and security architecture
- Strong expertise in security frameworks, compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR), and emerging threats
- Hands-on experience with security technologies, risk assessment methodologies, and incident response
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills
- Professional security certifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) preferred
