Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and driven Sustainability Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring building systems operate efficiently and sustainably, aligning with industry best practices and regional green building regulations. This role involves acting as an Independent Commissioning Agent (ICA) for projects requiring commissioning and sustainability verification.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the Independent Commissioning Agent (ICA) on assigned projects. Develop, implement, and manage commissioning plans, procedures, checklists, and schedules. Conduct and oversee testing and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and BMS systems. Ensure all building systems meet design intent, performance requirements, and sustainability goals. Collaborate with design and construction teams to resolve commissioning-related issues. Prepare detailed commissioning reports, maintain accurate documentation, and track progress. Provide guidance and recommendations to enhance energy efficiency and system performance. Ensure compliance with local sustainability regulations and global green building standards. Support sustainability rating system submissions (e.g., LEED, Estidama, Mostadam) where applicable. Utilize energy modeling tools and performance simulation software when required. Drive continuous improvement and promote a culture of sustainability and innovation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering or a related discipline. 3-5 years of proven experience in sustainability roles or mechanical commissioning. Certified or credentialed in one or more of the following: LEED AP, Estidama PQP, Mostadam AP, CCP, BCxP. Hands-on experience in commissioning HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and BMS systems. Familiarity with energy modeling tools and performance benchmarking. In-depth knowledge of commissioning standards and sustainability practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Passionate about environmental responsibility and driving sustainable change.
