A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced surveyor/senior surveyor to join a highly respected commercial valuation department in an established chartered surveying firm. The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical knowledge and preferably have experience working within the GCC region. Candidates with no GCC experience are welcome to apply and will be considered on technical and leadership merit. What this opportunity involves: This role is based in our Manama office and involves a mix of valuation work for a range of top tier clients including banks, developers, investors, lending institutions, owners and occupiers who rely on our advice to make financial decisions, assess risks and ensure they adopt the correct management of individual properties and portfolios. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced surveyor/senior surveyor, that will entail close team involvement and supported by experienced chartered surveyors (MRICS) and department heads from the Dubai office. Key responsibilities:
Value commercial property within Bahrain by applying expert knowledge and awareness of the local property market.
Provide informed, market facing and independent advice on all commercial property types.
Reach firm and justifiable conclusions on values for work undertaken.
Prepare detailed reports and presentation of valuation advice to clients.
Prepare models using Argus Enterprise and Argus Developer.
Liaise with clients and ensure high quality advice is consistently delivered.
Take day to day responsibility for the execution of instructions under minimum supervision.
Manage multiple instructions at the same time efficiently and effectively.
Assist with the development and maintenance of a strong client base.
Play an active role in the supervision and development of more junior team members by reviewing reports and providing technical advice.
Work closely with senior team members on high profile instructions.
Support an expanding team in its business development objectives and continued growth in revenue.
Collaborate with other departments internally to maintain market knowledge and cross sell opportunities.
Comprehensive knowledge of valuation regulations and legislation.
In-depth knowledge of the Bahrain real estate market is essential.
Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) is not essential but would be advantageous for this role.
Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) registered valuer.
Knowledge of Argus Enterprise and Developer is desirable.
Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good interpersonal skills and an ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
Ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude towards routine tasks.
Accurate and exceptional attention to detail.
Pro-active and should enjoy working autonomously and as part of a wider team.
Strong team ethic.
Ability to plan and manage workload efficiently.
Bahrain driving license and available vehicle.
