Position Overview
AECOM is seeking an experienced Surveyor to join its Buildings and Places team in Dubai. This role supports construction and infrastructure projects by delivering accurate surveying data, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements across all project stages. The position is site-based and plays a key role in supporting Resident Engineers and inspectors on live construction projects in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and health and safety requirements
Perform survey work under the guidance of the Resident Engineer
Establish horizontal and vertical control points, including reference ties for re-establishment
Conduct ground and geodetic surveys to determine baselines, elevations, contours, and alignments
Verify accuracy of survey measurements, calculations, traverse closures, and bench circuits
Maintain accurate field books, notes, sketches, and survey records
Coordinate survey activities with contractors' surveyors, inspectors, and engineering teams
Check contractor setting-out works for accuracy and compliance with project requirements
Perform joint measurements for completed works and payment verification
Monitor completed works to ensure conformance to approved line, level, and grade
Prepare and maintain survey maps, charts, plots, reports, and legal descriptions
Maintain and calibrate survey equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
Apply site safety, quality control, and quality assurance procedures at all times
Monitor construction health and safety compliance and report any violations
Ideal Profile
Diploma or relevant qualification in Surveying or Civil Engineering
Proven experience in construction and infrastructure surveying projects
Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and site survey procedures
Experience working with contractors, inspectors, and multidisciplinary project teams
Ability to maintain accurate records and assume responsibility for survey outputs
Good knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards on construction sites
