Survey Crew Member Immediate position available for a Survey Crew Member located in Clearwater, Florida. The candidate is responsible for using survey equipment to help complete work related to marine construction and engineering. Responsibilities : Will work primarily in the field on hydrographic surveys and marine project construction layout. Able to plumb a leveling rod properly so that accurate readings can be taken from the bow of a boat. Maintain and keep track of survey supplies and equipment. Effectively present information and respond to questions. Safely operate company vehicles to transport crew and supplies. Various tasks related to surveying and marine construction. Knows understands and demonstrates safe working/operating methods of assigned tools and equipment. Follows all company and work site safety policies/procedures and commits to an Incident and Injury Free work environment. Desired Knowledges, Abilities and Skills: Ability to develop skill in the use and care of surveying and related construction measurement tools. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and the general public. Ability to drive and navigation marine vessels up to 25-feet in length and ability to drive a vehicle. Qualifications: 1 to 2 years of previous survey experience is a plus. Having a safe boater's Certificate / license is a plus. Minimum of a High School diploma. OSHA Certification (s) is a plus. Current Driver's License with a clean record is required. Must be open to some out-of-town traveling. Ability to swim and tread water. Candidates must possess a neat appearance and be prepared for a variety of weather conditions. Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide. This position regularly works outside and occasionally may include moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles and loud noise levels. Physical Demands/Work Environment: Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will reach with hands; Occasionally will stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell. Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds; Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds.
