We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven
Supply Chain Purchasing Officer
with solid experience in the
UAE pharmacy sector
. This role is responsible for managing supplier relationships, optimizing inventory, coordinating promotions, and ensuring smooth replenishment across all branches.
Key Responsibilities
Negotiate and monitor supplier deals, ensuring order planning aligns with agreed terms and rebates/compensations are collected in full
Plan monthly promotions in coordination with suppliers, track outcomes, and follow up to collect agreed compensation
Lead replenishment planning for all branches based on demand, seasonality, and stock levels
Forecast stock requirements and place accurate, timely purchase orders
Monitor and reconcile all LPOs, identify discrepancies, and resolve with suppliers promptly
Receive and respond to branch inquiries and requests related to stock, orders, or product availability
Continuously monitor stock levels and maintain optimal inventory across all locations
Oversee expiry management by tracking near-expiry products and initiating preventive actions
Analyze item and brand movement reports, identify high/slow movers, and take appropriate action
Work to expand and enhance the product and brand catalogue based on market demand and customer trends
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmacy purchasing/supply chain within the UAE
Strong relationships with suppliers and distributors in the pharmacy/FMCG sector
Excellent negotiation and follow-up skills, especially around compensation and rebates
Solid understanding of inventory management, expiry control, and replenishment planning
Analytical mindset with experience using Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)
Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus
