Job Description

A leading luxury Yachts Manufacturing is currently looking for Supply Chain Manager, with primary responsibilities for manufacturing processes from raw material procurement to finished yachts delivery, focusing on strategy, procurement, logistics, inventory control, and supplier relationships to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely production. Key duties include managing inventory, negotiating contracts, analyzing supply chain data for improvements, forecasting demand, collaborating with other departments, ensuring compliance, and managing a team involved in purchasing, receiving, and shipping.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning :

Developing and implementing the overall supply chain strategy for the yachts manufacturing process.

Procurement :

Managing the sourcing, purchasing, and negotiation of materials and components needed for yachts construction, such as fiberglass engines, electronics, and furnishings etc.

Supplier Management :

Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring their performance meets quality and delivery standards.

Logistics and Transportation :

Overseeing the efficient flow of materials and finished products, including managing transportation and distribution networks.

Inventory Control :

Implementing and managing systems to maintain accurate inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

Production Planning :

Working with production to schedule manufacturing based on demand forecasts and material availability.

Demand Forecasting :

Using models and data to predict future demand for yachts, ensuring sufficient components are on hand.

Data Analysis & Reporting :

Analyzing supply chain performance metrics and KPIs to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

Cost Optimization :

Finding cost-effective solutions for the entire supply chain to improve profitability.

Team Leadership :

Overseeing and guiding a team responsible for purchasing, inventory control, shipping & receiving.

Compliance & Safety :

Ensuring that all supply chain processes adhere to safety standards, quality guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills & Qualifications

Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar

With Experience in UAE and experience dealing with international and local suppliers

Strong communication skills, negotiation skills and creative problem-solving skills

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Attention to detail

A strategic and analytical mind

Leadership and team management experience

Proficiency with Odoo system /ERP

Knowledge of marine industry specifics and supply chain dynamics.

Understanding of manufacturing processes, logistics, and inventory management.
