The Supply Chain Management Manager is responsible for planning, developing, optimizing, organizing, directing, managing, evaluating, and being accountable for all supply chain processes within Kanad Hospital. This role involves developing and managing functions related to the demand for goods and materials across all hospital departments. The Supply Chain Management Manager will create integrated processes among clinical operations, maintenance, administrative support, purchasing, and external suppliers, coordinating planning, purchasing, and inventory control within the organization's goals.
Essential Job functions and Key Accountabilities:
1. Oversees and manages overall supply chain and logistics operations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
2. Collaborate with multi-functional managers to develop and execute distribution center operational process for seamless transfers.
3. Manages and monitor vendor qualifications and performance to ensure compliance with company requirements.
4. Assist in logistics processes for new product development, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment, delivery, and returns.
5. Maintain detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to provide management with logistics perspective.
6. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external parties, including suppliers or distributors.
7. Read and comprehend legal documents such as contracts and import/export agreements.
8. Understanding accounting and finance principles.
9. Ensure project/department milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved budgets.
10. Collaborate with diverse teams to identify and solve problems.
Qualification
Hands-on leadership, and high competency with tech systems (MS365, SAP, etc.).
Must Have Worked In
: Healthcare or hospital supply chain settings--priority given to UAE experience.
Must Know
:
+ Vendor and contract management (especially for medical consumables and capex)
+ Strategic sourcing, RFP/Tender processes, and cost containment
+ ERP systems (SAP preferred)
+ Excel
+ Stakeholder coordination across clinical, finance, and regulatory functions
Experience
At least
5 years in a managerial role
specifically within supply chain with empirical evidence of continuous improvement outcomes
