Oversee the entire process for RFQ.
Take the lead in driving process improvements that increase automation, productivity and reduce errors.
Take charge of Planning and developing successful commercial and technical strategies in conjunction with the sales teams and management within the organization.
Analyze client requirements, project specifications, and contractual terms to develop tailored and commercially viable proposals.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and pricing models, considering various factors such as vessel selection, crewing, equipment, and logistics.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain clarifications, negotiate terms, and gather necessary documentation.
Develop competitive proposals for Corporate and strategic Key Accounts, as well as identified Local and Regional Key Accounts in line with global process
Create a comparative cost analysis and prepare the documentation necessary to submit to Customer or/and Regional Tender Desk
Coordination of tender reviews and deadlines and adjust them to the frameworks given by the customers
Respond to tenders within the given timelines, ensuring operational feasibility and profitability of the proposed technical solutions.
Ensuring all submissions meet quality standards and align with company objectives.
Maintain tender data records updates and follow up on progress of submitted tenders
Interface with other functional groups such as Procurement, IT, Legal, QHSE, Key Account Management, Industry Verticals and Trade Lane Development, as well as with customers in creating/delivering competitive and quality proposals
Provide post-tender analysis and feedback to management for continuous improvement of the tendering process.
Manage the Tender Quality Costs Delivery Performance (QCDP) commitment for no critical or low critical bids.
Complete Postmortem process for all bids and implement lessons learned
Willingness to travel as required to attend client meetings, conferences, and industry events (at short notice at times)
Comply and meet with all QHSE, Compliance, Ethics requirements and Code of Conduct.
Profile
Required Skills/Knowledge
Excellent understanding of commercial and contractual terms, with the ability to negotiate and mitigate risks effectively.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical and financial data to develop accurate cost estimates and pricing models.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop persuasive tender submissions and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Advanced Excel, data analysis and Microsoft 365
Having excellent project management and organizational skills is necessary to manage multiple deadlines or bids simultaneously.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands (RFQ volume, customer expectations, etc.)
Strong sense of urgency and being able to work under pressure
Proficient in using relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent relationship with Shipping lines, Airlines, Transport vendors etc
Required Work Experience
Preferably 3-5 years of experience in the International Freight Forwarding and Project industry with experience in \'Procurement and Tender Management.
Required Qualifications - Professional Diploma in Supply Chain and Procurement Or - Certificate in Bid and Tender Management (ACBTMTM)
Required Languages
English language skills (Oral & Written).
