Job Description
- Getting feedback from reliever.
- Attend shift meeting which is conduct by Shift Manager and discuss all matters from
- Check availability of manpower in his area Planning for shift activity with coordination
of shift manager about charge mix, EAF gunning time, electrode change & other furnace
related jobs.
- Responsible for control desk & tapping desk operations. DRI feeding, burners profile, alloy addition etc.
- Furnace production & furnace maintenance is the sole responsibility, coordination with
scrap yard, LRF, Ladles & maintenance to ensure smooth running of EAF & control
unforeseen delays.
- Maintain hot heel throughout the shift.
- Handover the shift with ensuring that auto gunning machine hopper is full of
- All material & consumable are available, Operational spares are in running position.
- Furnace is maintained, Housekeeping is well control & all data sheets are filled properly.
- Reporting shift performance in shift report.
- Inform concern authority for any abnormality during shift or any other job instructed by
