Overview
Assist the Workshops Management to accomplish, intermediate maintenance inspections, services, and repairs on all aviation life support equipment (ALSE)/NVG. Knowledge and understanding of all aircrew flight equipment and chemical / biological defense equipment utilized by the units aircrew to ensure aircrew flight equipment/components meet airworthiness criteria, operate within specified tolerances and in the proper sequence and are mission ready to support the requirements of day to day operations as well as sustained critical combat operations.



1. Supervises and provides technical guidance to subordinate personnel performing maintenance on ALSE/NVG equipment.

2. Evaluates maintenance operations and facilities for compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and operational policies.

3. Ensures subordinates manage all forms and records in accordance with DA PAM 738-751 and related publications.

4. Performs maintenance trend analysis and applies production control, quality control and other maintenance management principles and procedures to ALSE/NVG repair shop operations.

5. Instructs personnel and conducts technical training in ALSE/NVG equipment and related components on maintenance, supply, and safety procedures.

6. Evaluates the technical training program on host nation personnel.

7. Serves as the focal point for all parts, tools, shop stock and supply requisitions.

8. Maintains accountability for all tools and equipment assigned to the shop.


9. Keeps a current technical library in accordance with shop mission and equipment.


10. Perform Fit checks and adjustments on various flight helmets, oxygen masks, survival vests and other items of ALSE assigned to military and contractor flight crew members.

11. Responsible for all safety matters of personnel and equipment assigned to the ASE Workshop.


12. Responsible for oversight, guidance and counseling of all personnel assigned to them.

13. Responsible for enhancement Shop's capabiilities.

Qualification
Minimum of 5 Years Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience working on ALSE/NVG equipment including over water flotation devices. A thorough background in the full spectrum of aviator flight equipment, pyrotechnics, hot/cold climate survival kits, and proper use of each is required.



Experience of material Handling, Inventory and supply procedures.



Experience of Handling and storing of Pyrotechnics associated with ALSE equipment


Experience
High School Completion of a formal armament training course from an accredited military or civilian aeronautical school.
