Role Overview

The Supermarket Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff on the shop floor, maintaining stock levels, and supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales and operational goals. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to handle day-to-day challenges efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations

Supervise daily supermarket activities including sales floor, counters, and checkout operations. Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper display of products in all departments. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory and procurement teams for timely replenishment. Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and hygiene standards.

2. Staff Supervision & Development

Manage and guide floor staff, cashiers, and section in-charges. Prepare staff duty rosters and allocate tasks effectively. Monitor staff performance, provide training, and support in building a customer-focused team. Resolve staff conflicts and escalate issues to management when necessary.

3. Customer Service

Ensure customers receive a high standard of service and support. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Maintain a friendly and helpful atmosphere on the shop floor.

4. Sales & Reporting

Assist in meeting sales targets and implementing promotional activities. Monitor daily sales, wastage, and shrinkage; report deviations to management. Prepare daily/weekly operational reports for management review.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Business, Retail Management, or related field (preferred). Minimum

2-4 years of supervisory experience

in retail, supermarket, or FMCG sector. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and POS operations. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
