Job Description

. JOB PURPOSE: Plan, coordinate and supervise the operations of the Sulphur Station on the assigned shift to ensure safe and efficient operation to meet production targets whilst ensuring adherence to stipulated Quality and HSE standards. This includes assuming responsibility for the Sulphur Station Area storage, export facilities, systems on shifts. This also includes co-ordination with concerned in main Gas plant, Ruwais unloading & ERDB for the smooth operations. Responsible for initial emergency response as incident commander. 4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Job Specific Accountabilities

Direct, coordinate and supervise the Sulphur Station activities and assigned personnel on shift. Perform management functions at the level established by Senior Management. Represent Management during shift work outside normal working hours in dealing with Other-OPCO, Sulphur Station security, shift discipline and any critical operational emergencies. Direct and control the preparation of Sulphur Station equipment for maintenance & overhaul activities ensuring safe working conditions are maintained. Control and authorize the issue of Permits and certificates in the role of Area authority (Permits-General, Critical and hot work and Certificates Isolation, Confined space entry vehicle entry, Temporary defeat, ATR, excavation, Radiography. Risk assessments of the permits issued and ensure implementation by responsible person to mitigate the risks to ALARP. Carry out the role of process Isolating authority & Defeat authority as per WMS standard. Supports and/or leads processes that support BCM governance requirements as part of the COMPANY operational risk framework (as assigned). Establish and direct methods and precautions required on all maintenance work carried out during shift in the Sulphur Station. Fulfil the requirements of ADNOC operating integrity CoP-1.4 and make it available for Audit. Verify the Operator round readings and take necessary corrective actions on any abnormalities. Guide the team to operate the plant in defined operating envelope, SOL and in coordination with automation issue exceedance report if any. Initiate Downgraded situation as per ADNOC standard. Develop, review and Implement SOPs for various sulphur station operations. Review the Logs of the Process Area Shift Supervisors with emphasis on ensuring quality and detail presentation of data. Submit technical reports on Sulphur Station trips, abnormal operations/accidents/near misses. Participate in Sulphur Station problem analysis and propose modifications to equipment to improve efficiency. Studying various problems related to the operating equipment, making recommendations for improvement. Advice and monitor implementing Engineering and other Systems Minor Changes in Sulphur Station. Liaison with other-OPCO senior shift personnel his shift to ensure optimization and coordination of actions in the case of a Sulphur Station emergency. Ensure monitoring of the status of all equipment within the Sulphur Station through frequent inspection to ensure that equipment is in the best possible condition with relation to safety and performance. Review and verify the operating data as per the production target plans, including Laboratory analysis and operating Sulphur Station performance to ensure data accuracy. Initiate and investigate day-to-day reports such as incidents, failures, environmental, Near miss and risk-assessment in order to facilitate continuous improvement of processes and operations. Act as an initial response incident commander during emergency, participate and conduct department Shift HSE meetings and initiate corrective action notes for the subordinates in order to ensure provision of prompt HSE services to operations. Liaison with Process engineering team. Ensure sufficient manpower availability. in shift throughout the year by proper planning of employee's annual leave/absenteeism and by prompt coordination with superior/He for timely sourcing if required. Develop, direct and manage shift routine & non-routine daily operation activities, including trouble shooting and controlling different operating parameters/variables to ensure smooth operation to achieve the required final product quality & quantity. Contribute to establishing and maintaining business continuity management (BCM) programs processes and practices ensuring that the COMPANY program remains current, and incorporates/aligns with industry standards and practices as appropriate, and adequately covers general regulatory requirements. Others Co-ordinate with ERDB and OPP as required. Act as Team leader in his absence. Perform other similar or related duties, as required.

Generic Accountabilities

Management Plan and supervise the activities of the personnel and resources of the team to achieve the Department objectives in an efficient and cost-conscious manner while ensuring implementation of approved operational plans for the Team in line with Department objectives. Develop the knowledge, competencies and innovative spirit in the team and support the establishment of Personal Development Plans (PDP's), Succession Planning and Talent profile within the team in coordination with the Human Capability Group to continuously develop employees with emphasis on UAE Nationals to meet Emiratization targets. Budgets and Operational Plans Compile and provide input for preparation of the Department budgets and regularly monitor expenditure against approved the team budget levels. Investigate, highlight and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures Lead the implementation of approved team policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls in order to support execution of the Department work programs in line with Company and International standards. Performance Management Implement the Company Performance Management System for individuals within the team in accordance with Company approved guidelines and continuously monitor the achievement of the Team KPIs related to the approved Annual Performance Management Contract and the Balanced Score Card. Organisation Structure and Development Review, develop and recommend the appropriate organisation structure for the Team that will best utilise human capital while proactively incorporating sustainability into the on-going work practices to meet the business objectives. Innovation and Continuous Improvement Encourage innovation, enhance employee motivation and support initiatives for implementation of Change Management to continuously improve operations and services. Propose improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the team. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, systems & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the team in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices. Ensure adequate HSE training and induction for all team employees to meet HSE standards. Management Reports Prepare all the MIS and progress reports to provide accurate and timely reports and necessary information to Company Management to effectively manage the business.

5. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal Manager, Plant Operations and Team Leader, Shift Operations (Sulphur Plant) for receiving instructions and information on plant conditions and reports. Employees up to Team Leaders level in Operations, Maintenance, Technical, HSE & Operations Planning for coordination and sharing information. On-call persons for shift operation and non-operation activities. External Personnel in various ADNOC OPCOs in adjacent industries. Third Party Vendors, Contractors, Service Providers, etc. Other government agencies as needed during off hours and holidays.

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills 9 years' experience in Gas Processing Plants within a large industrial organization, with at least 5 years in supervisory role. Oil and Gas industry experience is preferred. Experience with various plant operating procedures (start up, shutdown, emergencies). Able to review and develop new operating procedures as necessary. Good understanding of plant production capacity optimization. Able to identify operational hazards and resolve them, as necessary. Risk management, downgraded situations and MOC. WMS for permits, certificates, RA and isolation. HSECES inspection and Deferment process. Operations Integrity concept. Thorough knowledge and understanding of processes units' operations. Defensive driving. Very good knowledge of spoken and written English language. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable. Professional Certifications BA, H2S training, Crisis Management (as Incident Commander). SQA. KAIZEN &Lean six sigma is preferable.
