Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Structural Engineer

with deep expertise in

steel structures

and a solid background in

foundation systems

, including

piling

. As a key member of our structural consultancy team, the successful candidate will lead the design and technical review of complex steel-framed structures across various sectors such as industrial, commercial, infrastructure, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the

structural design, analysis, and detailing of steel structures

, including industrial buildings, platforms, pipe racks, towers, and high-rise frames. Provide expert guidance on

connection design

, member sizing, steel material selection, and constructability of steel systems. Coordinate with geotechnical teams on the design of

foundation systems

, particularly

piling

, to ensure compatibility with superstructure loads. Prepare and/or review

structural drawings, reports, specifications

, and

steel shop drawings

. Conduct

peer reviews and design audits

to ensure quality and code compliance. Support clients in

tender reviews, value engineering

, and resolution of structural issues during construction. Engage in

multidisciplinary coordination

, ensuring structural design aligns with architectural, mechanical, and civil requirements. Conduct site inspections, assessments, and respond to RFIs during construction. Provide mentorship to junior engineers and assist in internal technical development.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred). Chartered status (CEng, PE, or equivalent) is highly preferred.

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience

, with a strong focus on

steel structures

and working in a

consultancy environment

. Proven experience with

steel and composite design

, including seismic and wind-load design considerations. Familiarity with

piling and foundation interface

for heavy steel structures. In-depth knowledge of international design standards (e.g., AISC, BS 5950, Eurocode 3). Proficiency in structural analysis and modeling software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Tekla Structures, STAAD.Pro, IDEA StatiCa). Strong communication, client engagement, and technical report writing skills.
