Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation procedures.
Erect, bolt, weld, and/or rivet steel structural members using hand and power tools.
Position steel units, align holes, and insert temporary bolts or welds to secure them into place.
Use cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment to move and place structural components.
Perform rigging duties including setting up and dismantling rigging for heavy steel components.
Inspect completed work to ensure conformance with specifications, codes, and safety standards.
