Job Description
An International Organization with High Presence in GCC and UAE is looking for Structural Steel Detailers as per the below . Organization is offering a competitive salary for highly skilled and experience candidates: Structural Steel Detailer:
- Creating drawings of building plans and structures using AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit in PEB for steel structure & sheeting, one of BIM software (Xteel, BoCad.
- Reviewing blueprints and drawings to ensure they are accurate and complete.
- Performing calculations to determine the amount of materials needed for a job
- Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed during construction to prevent injury or damage to property
- Communicating with contractors, architects, engineers, or other members of the construction team to discuss project details
- Coordinating with other team members to schedule deliveries of materials and coordinate construction activities
- Maintaining records of costs, labor hours, and other data related to projects
- Installing steel members such as joists, beams, columns, girders, and stairs using welding equipment
- Determining the type of structural steel needed for a project based on design plans and building codes.
- Checking the steel work drawings prepared by Steel Draughtsman to ensure dimensional accuracy and details.
- Providing modified connection details to Steel Draughtsman whenever required.
- Able to detail steel structures with all connection and deliver steel drawings as per projects and standards.
- Able to thoroughly check and detail cladding drawings for any building.
- Proposes alternate solutions in detailing to improve cycle time in detailing.
- Proposes and implements standard connection details to be used in detailing with the approval of Steel Designer.
- Diploma (Minimum of 2 years) in Drafting /AutoCAD (Architect, Civil)
- Solid Experience in AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit in PEB for steel structure & sheeting, one of BIM software (Xteel, BoCad).
