Position Overview
AECOM Middle East is hiring an experienced Structural Inspector to join its Transportation division in Dubai for a major Roads and Bridges project. The role involves inspection, supervision, and quality control to ensure construction activities meet design specifications, safety standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and supervise structural and civil works for roads and bridges to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor contractor activities, equipment, and workforce to maintain safety and quality standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections and prepare reports covering work progress, materials, and compliance issues.
• Review contractor QA/QC documentation and verify testing and inspection records.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules and coordinate with the Resident Engineer and Structural Engineer for issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, including materials testing, daily logs, and as-built records.
• Implement safety procedures and environmental protection guidelines as per RTA and AECOM standards.
• Assist in project handover, commissioning, and milestone verification.
• Support correspondence and reporting requirements as directed by the Resident Engineer.
• Participate in client and consultant meetings to ensure alignment of technical and contractual deliverables.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in structural and road construction projects, including at least 3 years in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of RTA standards, bridge structures, and civil works.
• RTA approval preferred.
• Proven ability to manage field inspection, documentation, and quality assurance.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
