Structural Inspector

Parsons are looking for an amazingly talented

Structural Inspector

to join our team! In this role you will get to supervise and inspect the structural works related to the Project.

What You'll Be Doing:



Conducts inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications. Performs inspection activities which may include the following: Demolition of various structural elements, activities related to the construction of structures such as reservoirs, lifting stations landscaping structure, lagoons, swimming pools, substations, retaining walls, tunnels, bridges etc.
Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations, and writes daily diaries. Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract. Verifies only approved materials are incorporated in the work. Performs labor compliance interviews and maintains as-built plans. Recognizes potential conflicts, issues, and problems; identifies possible solutions and advises supervisor. Collects, reviews, and files Certificate of Compliance, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), inspection tags, and other information relevant to the materials used. Reports on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work. Coordinates work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing. Assists with the development of job safety practices and reports. Supports the creation of quality control procedures and reports. Responds to the call backs in case of emergency at the project site. Documents nonconformance and may participate in determining appropriate resolution. May provide technical guidance to lower-level inspectors. Performs work in safe manner and is cognizant of public safety. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:



Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or related field) Minimum 6 years' structural inspection experience in infrastructure and pumping stations experience Proven ability to read/interpret plans, specifications, public works contracts, and construction processes. Strong math and engineering skills, including calculations, graphs, and charts, plus basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, project software, internet). Capable of reviewing schedules, progress pay estimates, and extra work bills in accordance with client and industry standards. Effective reporting, diary keeping, and communication skills in English, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Demonstrated good judgment, time management, hazard recognition, and teamwork in dynamic site environments.
