Position Overview
AECOM is seeking a Structural Inspector in Dubai, UAE to support major RTA transportation and bridge infrastructure projects. This on-site role focuses on supervising structural construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and authority standards, and maintaining strict quality and safety control across complex civil engineering works.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor construction of bridges, underpasses, culverts, retaining walls, foundations, and deep foundation systems
• Verify reinforcement placement, formwork alignment, post-tensioning works, grouting, and concrete sequencing
• Inspect temporary works including falsework, scaffolding, and shoring systems for structural stability
• Supervise installation of bridge bearings, expansion joints, drainage systems, and safety barriers
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, RTA, DEWA, and other relevant authority regulations
• Review contract documents, technical specifications, and applicable structural codes
• Coordinate with designers and site teams to resolve technical queries and discrepancies
• Lead and supervise inspection teams and conduct coordination meetings with project engineers
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports and track corrective actions
• Maintain detailed records including progress reports, inspection logs, and change documentation
• Attend coordination meetings and assist in resolving site execution challenges
• Participate in project handover, snagging, and final compliance verification

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 10-15 years of experience in major infrastructure or RTA projects in the Middle East
• Minimum 3 years of UAE project experience
• RTA approval preferred
• Strong understanding of bridge construction, structural concrete works, and deep foundation systems
• Knowledge of local authority regulations and construction supervision procedures
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
