Position Overview
AECOM is seeking an experienced Structural Inspector to join its Buildings and Places team in Dubai. The role focuses on site supervision, quality assurance, and compliance monitoring for roads, bridges, and structural works, ensuring construction activities meet contract requirements, approved drawings, and safety standards across major infrastructure projects in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities
Review and understand contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety requirements
Ensure contractor compliance with contract standards through site observations, measurements, and testing
Monitor quality assurance activities and track inspection progress
Maintain daily records of contractor manpower, equipment, and site activities
Carry out site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
Document site activities, methods, locations, and reasons for work execution in assigned areas
Report on materials delivery, storage, and compliance with approved requirements
Apply and enforce all site quality control and quality procedures
Follow up on site instructions issued by project leadership
Prepare site measurements and basic surveying checks as required
Monitor conformity to quality, performance, and applicable codes during inspections
Monitor construction health and safety practices and report violations
Ideal Profile
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering
Minimum 7 years of experience in structural inspection, preferably on roads and bridges projects
At least 3 years of UAE experience preferred
Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and regulations
Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
