Structural Inspector - AECOM - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
This Structural Inspector role supports AECOM's supervision team on a major Roads and Bridges project in Dubai. The position involves site inspections, contractor coordination, QA/QC compliance, and ensuring that all structural and associated works meet project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project contract documents, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements
• Ensure contractor compliance with approved standards and specifications
• Maintain daily manpower and equipment records for the contractor
• Conduct site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer
• Follow up daily with the contractor regarding resources, safety, and site coordination
• Prepare daily reports including work orders, materials delivery, and inspection logs
• Implement all quality control and quality assurance procedures on site
• Conduct measurements and surveying checks for bridges and related structures
• Coordinate with the client project manager during inspections
• Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist in preparing contract-related correspondence with RE or SE guidance
• Identify site issues and support immediate resolution
• Monitor commissioning, start-up, and handover progress
• Maintain records of materials testing and completed works
• Conduct audit inspections for conformity to contract documents

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of experience in similar structural and roads projects, with at least 3 years in the UAE
• Experience working on RTA-related roads and bridge projects preferred
• Strong understanding of site inspection, QA/QC, and construction supervision
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Good communication and reporting skills
