to supervise and lead the structural steel erection activities on-site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating erection crews, ensuring safe work practices, maintaining quality standards, and driving timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of structural erection crews.
Interpret and implement erection drawings, plans, and specifications.
Plan and organize the sequence of work to meet project deadlines.
Ensure proper use of cranes, rigging equipment, tools, and safety gear.
Monitor and enforce site safety practices in compliance with company and legal standards.
Inspect completed work for structural integrity and conformance to design.
Report progress, delays, incidents, and material requirements to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
Liaise with crane operators, riggers, welders, and other trades on site.
Maintain accurate records of manpower, equipment, and materials used.
Conduct tool-box talks and safety briefings regularly.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Erection Foreman or similar supervisory role in structural steel or metal erection.
Strong knowledge of erection techniques, safety standards, and structural drawings.
Ability to read blueprints, layout plans, and structural erection drawings.
Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma / ITI / Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
Minimum 15 years of experience in steel structure erection, with at least 10 years in a supervisory role.
