Job Summary: Looking for a Structural Engineer in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Job Key Details:

• Conduct technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
• Evaluate survey maps, drawings, reports, blueprints as well as other topographical data to plan projects
• Plan and design building structures based on architectural designs using standards, design software and drawing tools
• Prepare specifications for purchases of project equipment as well as materials
• Support the development of a work program for the assigned projects
• Oversee the project site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications as well as safety or sanitation standards
• Settle design as well as development issues ensuring the project complies with legal requirements
• Set up construction or installation standards through conducting a wide range of detailed calculations
• Perform any other related tasks as may be assigned

Job Qualifications and Experience

• The applicant must have a Degree in Structural Engineering or its equivalent
• Applicants must have several years of relevant working experience and with Sharjah Municipality Card
• Must be very vibrant, fast and productive
• Ability to work with the relevant Computer-aided design tool
• Should be able to work on multiple projects and design simultaneously
• Excellent technical writing and reporting skills
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Must be highly creative
• Strong project management skills required
• Ability to meet project deadlines
