Role Overview
The Structural Engineer will play a key role in the planning, design, analysis, and execution of structural systems across various projects. This role demands hands-on experience in the
design and review of structural frameworks for villas and low-rise buildings
, including
structural renovation and modification works
.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure that all structural elements meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and design intent. The role also involves active participation in the project management cycle, from design development and authority approvals to site implementation and inspections.
Key Responsibilities
Design and analyse structural elements and systems in accordance with UAE codes, project specifications, and authority requirements
Prepare structural drawings, load calculations, and technical documentation using software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit
Review and approve shop drawings, structural submittals, and materials
Supervise and inspect construction works to ensure conformity with design and structural integrity
Collaborate with project architects, civil engineers, MEP teams, and consultants to ensure coordination and seamless project execution
Evaluate and resolve structural issues arising during construction, including modifications and as-built adjustments
Participate in site inspections, including those with Dubai Municipality, Trakheesi, and relevant authorities
Ensure full compliance with UAE structural codes, seismic requirements, and health and safety standards
Document structural reports, logs, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in villa and building construction, including at least 3 years of proven experience in Dubai
Currently residing in Dubai (applications from outside UAE will not be considered)
Proficiency in structural analysis/design software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro) and AutoCAD
Strong knowledge of UAE building regulations and structural codes
Experience with Dubai Municipality and other relevant authority approvals
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams and under time-sensitive deadlines
UAE driving license preferred
