The candidate will be responsible for delivering innovative and cost-effective structural solutions in compliance with local authority regulations and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures using software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and manual calculations where required.
Prepare and review structural drawings and design documentation in coordination with CAD/Revit technicians and other discipline engineers.
Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DMCC, Nakheel, or other authority requirements in the UAE.
Manage structural components of mid-sized projects from concept through detailed design, including site support during construction.
Prepare technical reports, design briefs, and specifications.
Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs, ensuring quality and alignment with design intent.
Coordinate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to deliver integrated project solutions.
Attend project meetings and interface with clients and stakeholders as needed.
Guide and support junior engineers and interns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of relevant structural engineering experience, with at least 1-2 years in the UAE/GCC region preferred.
Strong command of structural design software: ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, Robot, or similar.
In-depth understanding of UAE building codes, ACI, BS, or Eurocode standards.
Experience working on multi-storey buildings, villas, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Experience in sustainable design and value engineering.
Membership in professional engineering bodies such as Society of Engineers UAE, ICE, or ASCE is an advantage.
Familiarity with project management tools and BIM processes.
