Job Description

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and supervising the structural aspects of construction projects to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with engineering standards and Qatar construction codes. The candidate will work closely with architects, project managers, and site teams to deliver efficient and cost-effective structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review structural designs, calculations, and detailed drawings for buildings and infrastructure projects. Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and company standards. Conduct structural analysis using appropriate engineering software. Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design integration. Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals related to structural works. Perform site inspections to monitor work quality and adherence to approved drawings. Provide technical support to the construction and site teams throughout the project lifecycle. Identify and resolve design and construction issues promptly. Prepare technical reports, method statements, and progress documentation. Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are followed during design and implementation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred). Minimum

8-10 years

of experience in structural engineering, with at least

5 years

in a similar role in Qatar or GCC. Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification is an advantage. Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Revit). Strong knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocode). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
