Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and develop detailed
structural design calculations and drawings
for
both steel and concrete structures
, ensuring compliance with UAE authority standards and international codes (BS, ACI, Eurocodes, etc.).
Develop and review
floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings
with accuracy and clarity.
Collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design integration and resolve multidisciplinary clashes.
Conduct comprehensive
structural analysis
to ensure the structural integrity, stability, and safety of designs.
Provide technical support throughout all project phases including
design, tendering, construction, and inspections
.
Review and approve
shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
related to structural works.
Conduct site visits to monitor work progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications and project timelines.
Liaise with
local authorities
for design submissions, approvals, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure timely completion of design deliverables while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in
Civil or Structural Engineering
(Master's degree is a plus).
4-6 years of proven experience
in structural engineering and design, preferably within the UAE.
Strong knowledge and practical experience in
designing both steel and concrete structures
.
Proficiency in preparing and interpreting
floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
.
Excellent command of
UAE building codes, standards, and authority approval processes
(e.g., ADM, DMT, etc.).
Proficiency in design and drafting software such as
ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD
, and Revit.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
