The Role
Our company, ETST Industrial Engineering LLC is looking for a steel structural engineer with excellent mathematical and analytical skills to join our dynamic team. We are seeking a hardworking professional who are expected to be detail-oriented, creative, and possess amazing problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: . Design structural components for large-scale projects, including analyzing survey reports, topographical maps, zoning restrictions and client requirements to ensure specifications meet project goals . Review blueprints, plans and change orders to verify structural integrity of materials and designs, and perform complex calculations and use modelling methods to ensure correct results . Review and comment on the Contractor's construction schedule(s), method statements, risk assessments for the structural steel works. . Participate in Prequalification review of proposed structural steel suppliers / fabricators and attend factory visits as required during the approval consideration process. . Participate in initial planning and bidding processes, including reviewing environmental factors, government regulations, constructions costs and risk analysis reports to prepare comprehensive study on all relevant design factors . Research existing and new material technology to determine practical applications, strength and durability expectations and cost-benefits information, and prepare material recommendations for current and future projects . Developing designs for new projects using computer modelling software, including AutoCAD or Revit . Undertake structural analysis with software, spreadsheets and hand calculations . Performing field work, such as surveying construction sites and conducting tests on materials using equipment such as handheld instruments or computerized machinery
Requirements

• Degree in civil or structural engineering . 5 years+ of work experience as a structural engineer . Expert experience in project management . Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations . Sound understanding of physics and mathematics . Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines . Three-dimensional conceptual skills . Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills . Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills . Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines . Ability to work independently and as part of a team . Excellent communication skills
