Structural Draftsman
Job Description
Prepare structural drawings (plans, sections, elevations, and details) for concrete and steel structures using CAD/BIM software.
Develop reinforcement detailing, shop drawings, and as-built drawings in line with project specifications and relevant codes.
Interpret and coordinate architectural and structural design information to produce clear, buildable drawings.
Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, and site teams to resolve drawing-related issues and incorporate design changes.
Ensure drawings comply with local authority regulations, standards, and company drafting procedures.
Maintain organized drawing records, revise drawings based on redlines, and support the preparation of material take-offs where required.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with strong background in structural drafting.
Proven experience as a Structural Draftsman, preferably on residential, commercial, or high-rise projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience in Revit or other BIM/structural drafting software is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of structural elements, reinforcement detailing, and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and calculations.
High attention to detail, good time management, and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to work closely with engineers and project teams.
