Job Description

:

The Structural Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed drawings and plans for structural engineering projects, including buildings, infrastructure, and industrial facilities. They work closely with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy, compliance with design standards, and coordination across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare structural drawings, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD,, or other drafting software. Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations into accurate technical drawings. Draft reinforcement detailing, structural framing, and general arrangement drawings. Coordinate with architects, MEP, and other disciplines for design integration. Revise and update drawings as per engineer/consultant comments. Maintain drawing records and documentation for project deliverables. Assist engineers in preparing material take-offs and construction details.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD, other structural drafting tools. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience (preferably in buildings or infrastructure). Knowledge of structural detailing, concrete reinforcement, and steel structures. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work within deadlines and coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team.
