Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Structural / Architectural Draftsman to join our team within the

Oil & Gas industry

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed structural and architectural drawings based on project requirements, design specifications, and engineering standards. The draftsman will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure that all construction and fabrication drawings meet industry codes and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed structural and architectural drawings, layouts, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent software. Develop general arrangement drawings, fabrication details, and construction documentation. Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to project specifications. Review and revise drawings based on design changes, client feedback, and project updates. Maintain organized drawing records, revisions, and document controls for ongoing projects. Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, piping, civil) to ensure design consistency. Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, oil & gas industry standards, and HSE guidelines. Support site teams by providing technical clarifications and updated drawings as required.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil, or Structural Engineering. Minimum 5 years of drafting experience in the Oil & Gas, EPC, or Construction sector in the UAE or GCC. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software. Solid understanding of steel structures, concrete detailing, and industrial building layouts. Knowledge of design standards such as BS, ASTM, ASME, or AISC. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and construction specifications. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in drafting for oil & gas facilities, refineries, or offshore structures. Familiarity with 3D modeling tools (e.g., Navisworks, Tekla). Knowledge of local authority submission requirements in the UAE.
