About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Stormwater Engineer to join our engineering consultancy team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, review, and coordination of stormwater and drainage systems for infrastructure and landscape projects, ensuring full compliance with local authority standards and sustainability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design and review stormwater drainage networks, including surface drainage, underground systems, culverts, channels, and attenuation solutions.

Prepare hydrological and hydraulic calculations, reports, and design justifications.

Coordinate stormwater design with road, landscape, utility, and structural disciplines.

Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi authority requirements (ADM, DMT, Estidama, TAQA, etc.).

Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and method statements related to stormwater works.

Support authority submissions, approvals, and technical responses.

Attend coordination meetings, site inspections, and technical workshops as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree is an advantage).

Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and flood mitigation strategies.

Proficiency in design software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, or equivalent.

Familiarity with Abu Dhabi codes, standards, and approval processes.

Strong technical writing, communication, and coordination skills.
