Job Description

The Storeman/Runner is responsible to support the engineering department by managing the receipt, handling, issuance, and delivery of tools, materials, and consumables from the estate's store to designated locations. The Storeman / Runner ensures that items are accurately logged, transported efficiently, and delivered promptly to engineers and technicians while maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the storage areas.

JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Certification in Storekeeping or Warehouse Assistance (preferred). Basic knowledge of inventory and stock procedures. Basic safety training or manual handling certification is an advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

1-3 years of experience in a storekeeping, logistics, or support staff role, preferably within engineering, facilities management, or estate operations. Experience working in private estates, hospitality, or maintenance departments is an asset. Familiarity with handling tools, equipment, cleaning chemicals, or technical spare parts.

KEY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

Store Support & Material Handling

Receiving and verifying deliveries from suppliers. Picking, packing, and preparing materials for issuance or dispatch. Assisting with inventory counts and stock organization.

Material Delivery & Internal Logistics

Delivering tools, parts, and materials to various departments or technicians within the estate. Ensuring prompt and accurate deliveries according to request logs or work orders. Transporting items with care, adhering to handling protocols.

Organization & Housekeeping

Keeping the store clean, tidy, and well-organized at all times. Ensuring all tools and materials are stored safely and labeled properly. Reporting low stock, expired items, or damaged materials.

Documentation & Tracking

Assisting in updating issue logs, delivery slips, and item check-out forms. Tagging and labeling items with correct identification numbers or locations. Supporting the Store Supervisor with filing, documentation, and basic recordkeeping.

Safety & Communication

Using correct lifting techniques and following safety procedures when handling heavy or hazardous items. Wearing appropriate PPE and ensuring compliance with estate safety policies. Communicating clearly with engineering staff and responding to urgent requests promptly.
