Job Description

We are in need of Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and supplies. This role ensures proper inventory control, organizes storage spaces, and maintains accurate records to support smooth operations in the warehouse or storage area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Receive and inspect incoming materials or items for damage and accuracy

* Properly store goods in designated storage areas or shelves

* Issue materials and supplies as per request or requisition

* Maintain accurate stock records, logbooks, and inventory systems

* Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records

* Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock situations

* Ensure cleanliness and organization of the store/warehouse

* Label items appropriately for easy identification and retrieval

* Follow safety and security procedures for handling and storing items

* Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and other departments regarding stock requirements

* Handle documentation related to goods received and issued

* Prevent theft, damage, or loss of inventory

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or equivalent (a diploma in logistics or storekeeping is a plus).

* Proven experience as a storekeeper or in warehouse/store management.

* Knowledge of inventory and record-keeping systems.

* Basic computer skills.

* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

* Physical ability to lift and move items as needed.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
